Religion Adviser Dr. A F M Khalid Hossain firmly stated that he has no need for a safe exit, as he neither stole public funds nor assisted in corruption. Speaking to journalists at the Secretariat on Monday, he questioned why anyone would seek an escape when they have committed no crime. Dr. Hossain expressed his focus on ensuring a smooth power transition to the elected government in February. He also discussed progress on the 2026 Hajj registration, confirming that nearly 60,000 Bangladeshis had already registered and that a meeting with Saudi authorities would likely extend the registration period. Addressing religious education issues, he urged dialogue between Islamic scholars and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education regarding the inclusion of religious and music teachers in schools.
